The Railway Minister gave the green light to the train dedicated to farmers

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Tuesday flagged off the Shetkari Samriddhi special train between Devlali in Maharashtra and Danapur in Bihar.  The Railway Minister launched the train dedicated to the farmers of the country through video conference while the program was held at Devlali railway station.  The train will provide new markets to farmers as well as affordable and convenient means of travel for workers.
Vaishnav said the objective of the Shetkari Train is to deliver the produce of Maharashtra farmers to other states of the country in a timely manner.  The train will stop at several major stations including Nashik, Manmar, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna and Deendayal Upadhyay, giving farmers an opportunity to sell their produce at the right time and at the right price.  Farmers will be able to send their produce from areas like Devlali and Nashik to Bihar at the rate of Rs 4 per kg.
