BRICS Summit: PM Modi to visit Russia on October 23-24

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Russia to attend the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan on October 22-23 at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.  The summit, which will be held under the theme "Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security", will provide a good platform for leaders to discuss important global issues, the Foreign Ministry said in an official notice.  "The summit will provide a valuable opportunity to assess the progress of initiatives launched by the BRICS and identify potential sectors for future cooperation," the foreign ministry said.
