Rajasthan, which is also called the land of Rajputs. It was established by merging 19 princely states and 3 places. Before independence, Rajasthan was also known as Rajputana. After integrating these princely states in seven phases, the name Rajasthan was announced. It took 8 years, 7 months and 14 days to form Rajasthan. On 18 November 1948, 22 Rajput kings and chieftains of Rajasthan signed an agreement with V.P. Menon to form 'Rajasthan Union'. In the year 1949, a new state named 'Rajasthan Union' was formed by merging 22 princely states. In the year 1950, 'Rajasthan Union' was renamed Rajasthan. Rajasthan Day is celebrated every year on 30 March. This year Rajasthan has turned 75 years old. This is a proud moment, which symbolizes the rich history and heritage of the state.
