Arjun Erigaisi becomes India's no.1 in latest FIDE rankings

FIDE chess: There is new and good news from the world of chess in India.  In fact, the International Chess Federation (ICF) has released its April rankings, in which a 21-year-old Indian boy has overtaken Indian legend Viswanathan Anand to become the country's new No. 1 chess player.
21-year-old Arjun Erigasi has made a name for himself in the world of chess.  He is ranked 9th in the International Chess Federation's world rankings for April.  Arjun Erigassi has overtaken Viswanathan Anand to become the country's new No. 1 chess player.  Arjun is also in the top 10 of the FIDE rating list for the first time.  He is ranked 9th in the world rankings with 2756 ratings.  Viswanathan Anand has slipped to 11th position with a rating of 2751.
