Forbes has released the list of the world's richest people for this year

Reliance Industries (RIL) chief Mukesh Ambani remains the richest Indian.  Ambani has made it to the top 10 in the Forbes list of the world's billionaires.  He is the ninth richest person in the world.  Reliance Industries' business ranges from oil to telecommunications.  According to Forbes, Ambani (66) is worth $116 billion.  This puts the value of their assets in 2023 at $83.4 billion.
Gautam Adani is the second richest Indian.  He is ranked 17th in the global list.  His net worth is $84 billion.  In 2023, following the release of a report by US short seller Hindenburg Research, his assets had once fallen from 2022's $90 billion to $47.2 billion.
Bernard Arnault of fashion and cosmetics giant LVMH tops the list with a net worth of $233 billion.  They are followed by Elon Musk with $195 billion and Jeff Bezos of Amazon with $194 billion.  Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is next with a net worth of $177 billion.
