Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs 24 lakh for maintaining slow over rate for the second consecutive time in IPL 2024. Delhi Capitals were found guilty of bowling less overs in the stipulated time during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
Apart from Pant, the players who were part of the playing 11 of Delhi Capitals have been fined 25 percent of the match fee. In this match, Delhi Capitals had to face a huge defeat of 106 runs. Let us tell you that KKR batted first in the 16th match of IPL 2024 and scored 272 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

This was the second highest team score in the current IPL. In response, Delhi Capitals were all out for 166 in 17.2 overs and lost the match by 106 runs. The BCCI issued a statement saying that Pant has been fined for slow over rate. Delhi Capitals also had a slow over rate against CSK and was found guilty for the second time against KKR.
