IPS Sadanand Basant: IPS Sadanand Basant becomes DG of NIA, Piyush Anand takes command of NDRF

IPS Sadanand Basant DG NIA: In a major administrative reshuffle just before the Lok Sabha elections, the country's renowned IPS officer Sadanand Basant has been appointed as the Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Similarly, IPS Piyush Anand has been made the DG of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The order related to these appointments was issued by the central government on Wednesday (March 27). It also said that IPS Rajeev Kumar Sharma has been made the DG in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD).
