Worlddesk:
Today is World Water Day. Water is tomorrow and water is life. The world is facing a water crisis. Due to which the lives and future of children are in danger. Safe drinking water is very important for health and living. There are less than three percent sources of fresh water in the world and this figure is decreasing. The demand for water is increasing due to the increasing need for water in many areas including rapid population growth, urbanization, agriculture industry and energy. But climate change, changing rainfall patterns and weather-related events are further increasing water shortages. In such a situation, the purpose of celebrating World Water Day is to understand the seriousness of these problems and make efforts for redressal.
The theme of Water Day this year is 'Water for Peace'. That is, when we cooperate for water, we can create a positive impact, promote harmony, create prosperity and face shared challenges.
