UPI launched in France, now Indian tourists going to Paris will get this benefit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dreams of taking UPI to global are coming true. UPI has been launched in Paris, the capital of France during an event organized on Republic Day. India's largest payment interface can be used especially near the Eiffel Tower. National Payments Corporation of India i.e. NPCI has launched it jointly with France's online payment collection Lyra.
The Indian Embassy in France said this collaboration between NPCI and Lyra will facilitate Indian tourists. They can now pay UPI in Paris outside India. It will be a technological alliance between the two countries which will especially benefit Indian tourists. Indian tourists will be able to pay in rupees. During the launching, the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and France President Emmanuel Macron, where the PM had paid from UPI at the Hawa Mahal.
