Development trials of India's first indigenous light tank Zorawar have started.  DRDO hopes that its user trials will also start by April.  This trial will be done by the Indian Army.  Defense officials have said that engines have been installed in it.  Currently, it has been seen driving up to 100 kilometers.
Indian Army had given order to DRDO to make 59 Zorawar tanks.  This tank is being made by L&T.  The design has been made by DRDO.  Apart from this, there is a demand for 259 light tanks for which seven to eight companies are in competition.  The Indian Army is preparing to deploy this tank in Ladakh near the China border.
Zorawar is called Bahadur in Punjabi language.  This is an armored fighting vehicle.  It will be made in such a way that its armor is not affected by even the biggest weapons.  The people sitting inside remained safe.  Its lethality should be lethal.  Also, it can run at better speed.  Modern communication technology will be installed inside.
