National Desk:
An Indian Navy advanced light helicopter (ALH) crashed off the coast of Mumbai on Wednesday (March 8) morning. The Navy said three members of the helicopter crew were recovered safely by a Navy patrol ship.
"Indian Navy ALH crashed into a ditch near the coast on a regular flight from Mumbai. All were rescued safely by immediate search and rescue," an Indian Navy spokesman said on its official Twitter handle.
Officials said the helicopter suddenly lost power while flying over the Arabian Sea. This caused the pilot to lose control and suddenly fall. However, the helicopter had deployed its emergency flotation gear.
