Debasish Gogoi's family finally got justice. The court sentenced 11 people to life imprisonment for the murder of Debasish Gogoi.
Debasish Gogoi of Nakachari was brutally attacked by a group of men on May 29, 2020 at Gavaru tea estate.
A total of 18 accused were arrested and sent to jail on the basis of a case registered in this regard. After a long judicial battle, the Jorhat District Session Judge acquitted seven of the 18 accused and convicted 11 others and sent them to jail.
Debasish, who was seriously injured in the beating, was taken to hospital in critical condition but died before reaching the hospital.
