IPS GP Singh will be the next Director General of Police in the state

IPS GP Singh will be the next Director General of Police in the state. CM made the announcement at the Kalakshetra recruitment ceremony.Director General of Police Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta will retire on January 31 .GP Singh made his first tweet after being announced as the next DGP of the state. He said ,"I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve the people of Assam with the blessings of Maa Kamakhya.  I am grateful to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam for placing his trust in me to lead the proud Assam Police."
