The country will celebrate its 74th Republic Day on Thursday.There is good news for the people of the state on the eve of Republic Day.This year, the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service has been presented to Deputy Inspector General of South Assam Kankan Jyoti Saikia.
14 policemen of Assam receive Presidential Medals.
They are Diganta Bora (Guwahati Commissioner of Police), Mojibur Rahman (Superintendent of Police, Guwahati), Dr Roji Kalita (Superintendent of Police, Guwahati), Anukul Malakar (Inspector, UB, Guwahati), Sikari Inti and Dilip Kalita , Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury, Manik Kans Banik, Someshwar Mudai, Sunil Phukan, Junmani Tamuli, Anand Ranghang, Ritu Mani Bairagi and Subhash Rabha.
