New Art Players will be holding a poetry recitation competition on November 24 . As in previous years, a poetry recitation competition will be held in memory of the late Niren Baruah, a stage, radio artist, prominent actor, director and Assamese news presenter of Aakashbani . New Art Players Secretary Rathindra Narayan Bhattacharya has opened 9854776314, 9864124660 for information about poetry recitation. Contestants must submit their poems in advance with three copies mentioning the name of the author . Recitation time will be 5 minutes  .No use of musical instruments is allowed  .The committee does not cover the cost of accommodation and transportation of the competitors  Joining fee is Rs 100.  You must arrive 30 minutes before the competition  .The rules of the contest will be changed . The verdict of the judges shall be final  .The first, second and third place winners will be awarded Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000.  Interested contestants should contact the committee before 23rd November.
