National Desk:
Nalini Sriharan, convicted in the brutal murder of Rajiv Gandhi, husband of former Prime Minister of India and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, was released from jail.  .  Nalini was released from Vellore Jail in Tamil Nadu after the Supreme Court's decision.  After being released from jail, Nalini interacted with the media in which she said many things.
In a conversation with the media, she also talked about the Gandhi family and said that I am very sorry for the Gandhi family, we have thought about it for many years and would like to apologize to them.  After this, she also replied about the meeting with the family of late Rajiv Gandhi.
In fact, the Gandhi family pardoned Nalini, one of the convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, out of compassion.  Even in the year 2000, a petition was also filed for the pardon of Nalini.  This was the reason that Nalini's punishment was also reduced.
