Ajit Mohan, India head of Meta (Facebook) resigns

Ajit Mohan Resigns: Meta Platforms has today announced that its India Head Ajit Mohan has resigned.  In fact, Ajit Mohan has decided to step down as India head of Meta to join social media platform Snap.  Ajit Mohan joined Facebook India in January 2019 as Managing Director.  In the presence of Ajit Mohan in the company, WhatsApp and Instagram added over 200 million users in India, which is seen as a huge success.
Prior to META, Ajit Mohan served as the Chief Executive Officer of Star India's video streaming service Hotstar for four years and then joined META and provided its best services to the company.
Nicola Mendelssohn, META's Global Business Group Vice President, said in a statement that, "Ajit has decided to step down from his role at META for an opportunity outside the company. Over the past four years, he has led our India operations.  We have been instrumental in shaping and growing so that they can serve the many millions of Indian businesses, partners and people. We are fully committed to India and have a strong leadership team to drive all our actions and partnerships  We are grateful for Ajit's leadership and contribution and wish him all the best for his future."
