India successfully test-fired the second stage of the interceptor AD-1 missile

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO and other teams involved in the successful flight test of AD-1 and said that it is a unique type of interceptor with advanced technologies which is available with very few countries in the world.
DRDO on Wednesday successfully test-fired the second stage of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) interceptor AD-1 missile from APJ Abdul Kalam Island.  During the test, the missile took off with all the BMD weapon system elements located at different geographical locations.
