National Desk:
There was a demand to stop the nominated Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dhananjay Yashwant Chandrachud from taking the oath of office.  But the Supreme Court has rejected the petition to stop the oath.  During the hearing, the Supreme Court said that there is no reason to hear the petition.  At the same time, the top court also said that the petition is completely misleading.  Therefore, there is no point in hearing this further.
In the court, the CJI asked the council that if you have some facts, then we are ready to listen to you.  In response to this, the council said that please take a decision based on my written submissions.
Then the current CJI said that the matter was mentioned for immediate listing in the morning.  Keeping in view the nature of the relief sought in the petition, the counsel who mentioned the matter was allowed to make the submission at 12:45 pm.  The matter was listed for filing before us at 12:45.  After listening to everyone, we found that there is no point in considering the entire petition.  Therefore we dismiss this petition.
