Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Morbi, will meet those injured in the bridge accident in the hospital

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Morbi today, where 134 people died when a bridge collapsed on Sunday.  The Prime Minister will go to Morbi's hospital to inquire about the injured of the accident.  They can also go to the spot.  The Prime Minister is in Gujarat on a three-day visit.  After this accident, while addressing the people from the Statue of Unity in Kevadiya on Monday, he expressed grief over the bridge accident.  There he said that his heart is with the victims of Morbi.
On Sunday evening, the suspension bridge on the Machhu river in Morbi, Gujarat was broken.  There were over 400 people on the bridge at the time of the incident.  Many of these people fell into the river.  177 people were rescued from the river.  On Monday, bodies of 134 people were recovered from the river.  More than a hundred people were admitted to the hospital.  Relief and rescue work is still going on.  This includes NDRF and Army units.
Meanwhile, the Gujarat government has announced a state-wide mourning on November 2 to pay tribute to the victims of the Morbi bridge accident.  This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the situation after the tragedy.  Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel tweeted, "Gujarat government has decided to observe statewide mourning on 2nd November.  The national flag will remain half-masted in the state and there will be no official function.
