The Special Powers of the Armed Forces Act has been extended for another six months in Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.The Special Powers of the Armed Forces Act has been extended to Dimapur, Newland, Chumaukedima, Mon, Kiphire, Noklak, Phek, Peren and Junheboto districts of Nagaland.The government has extended the Special Powers of the Armed Forces Act in these nine districts till March 30, 2023 in a notification.The Special Powers of the Armed Forces Act has been extended for six months from October 1 to areas within the jurisdiction of Namchai and Mahadevpur police stations in Tirap, Changlang and Lang ding districts of Arunachal Pradesh and Namchai district on the Assam border.These areas have been declared as 'troubled areas' under Section 3 of the Special Powers of the Armed Forces Act,
