Major accident due to boat capsizing in Dhubri , Many people missing including students

Dhubri boat accident: A boat capsized in the Brahmaputra river in Dhubri district of Assam today, after which a government official and school students and many others aboard are missing.  The officers provided this information.  Efforts are being made at many levels to save the people aboard this boat.
Locals claim that the boat was carrying around a hundred passengers and 10 motorcycles were loaded on it.  The boat was on its way to Bhashni and rammed into a bridge pole at Adbari, about three kilometers from Dhubri, and overturned, an official said.
So far 15 people have been rescued, the official said.  He said that many school children were also aboard the boat which was the victim of the accident and none of them has been traced so far.
Some officials of the state government are also said to be missing in this accident.  At present, according to the information received from the administration, circle officer of Dhubri district Sanju Das and a land documents officer and an office worker were also on the boat and they were going to survey some area.
Land circle officer Sanju Das is yet to be traced while the other two persons swam and came out safely.  The local people launched a rescue operation with their boat.  Another Guwahati official said that the help of swimmers of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is also being taken.  It is being told that the people who knew how to swim saved their lives by beating their hands and feet immediately.
