Zoo Protection Forum Executive Meeting held today

After a long break, the executive meeting of the "Zoo Protection Forum" was held at the zoo from 10 am today.  The Executive Meeting was convened to implement the decisions of the "Citizens' Meeting" held on 31/05/22.The Zoo Protection Forum has sent a letter to the Chief Minister demanding an answer within a stipulated time frame with eight important questions on why the illegal work at the zoo in the last four years have not been investigated.The meeting also handed over the responsibilities to the conveners of the Law Cell formed by the Citizens Assembly on 31-05-2022 against the harassment of the leaders and activists of the forum by the zoo authorities with various false cases.The meeting also approved the formation of a separate committee on finance under the chairmanship of Shri Amitabh Barthakur.
The meeting was attended by Mrs. Gitanjali Sonwal, Mrs. Sujata Sharma, Mr. Dibakar Goswami, Mr. Dipak Pathak, Mr. Rajkumar Vaishya, Mr. Chariful Ahmed, Mr. Amitabh Barthakur, Mr. Harmohan Kalita, Mr. Anup Barua, Mr. Tilak  Mohan, Mr. Chariful Haque, Mr. Nabajyoti Kalita, Mr. Naser Zaman Hazarika, Mr. Tapan Kumar Sharma, Mr. Shankar Shaikia, Mirkasim Uddin Ahmed and Mr. Mousum Hazarika.
After the executive meeting, the Legal Committee of the Forum held a meeting from 3 pm.
