The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has filed chargesheets against 30 soldiers for genocide in Nagaland

The state police have filed a chargesheet in connection with the December 4, 2021 army firing on villagers in Mon district of Nagaland on the pretext of militants.The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Nagaland government has filed chargesheets against 30 army personnel in connection with the shooting death of 14 innocent villagers by the Special Forces of the 21st Para Commando in Oting in Mon district.The SIT has completed its investigation against 29 soldiers, including a major-level officer, involved in the terrible army ambush in Oting and is in the Mon District Satra Judge's court, Nagaland Director General of Police T John Langkumar told reporters at Sumukedima in Dimapur on Saturday . The army has filed a chargesheet against the team.The chargesheet names nine paratroopers including a major, two subedars, eight habaldars, four heroes and six lance heroes.The Nagaland government has sought permission from the Center to take action against the accused army officers and soldiers.  The Nagaland State Police also sent a letter to Amit Shah's Union Home Ministry seeking permission to take action against the accused.
