Cabinet meeting in Tezpur: What decisions were taken by the 50th Cabinet meeting

The first expanded Cabinet meeting was held in Tezpur tommorow after the first expansion of the Chief Minister's Cabinet.  The Cabinet took several important decisions  ."This is the 50th and fourth Cabinet meeting outside Dispur since the new government took office"- Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma said .A total of 600 decisions have been taken by Himanta Biswa Sarma cabinet till now in the cabinet meetings held during his government.  The Chief Minister said Minister Chandramohan Patwari has been tasked to monitor the implementation of these 600 decisions.  Dr. Sharma said that since 1992, a total of 1,037 proposals for land allocation in different districts were pending in Dispur.  The Cabinet  approved these proposals.The Chief Minister said that Rs 350 crore has been sanctioned from the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Rural Development Scheme for the construction of Amrit Sarovar  .From now on, the Government will appoint CEO Engineer Accounts Officer in Municipalities.  They will also be transferred.The government is responsible for paying them their salaries  1,000 MW of new solar power projects will be constructed in Assam for solar power generation.  The project will cost around Rs 5,000 crore.  These projects will be constructed on government land in various parts of Assam.  The Cabinet also approved Rs 8,727 crore for supply of electricity meters, transformers etc. to the power department.  The fund will be provided jointly by the Central and State Governments.The Chief Minister said a committee would be formed in the name of Garukhuti Multipurpose Agriculture Project.  The Cabinet also approved Rs 185 crore for the construction of a 5,000-seat theater in Guwahati  .The Cabinet also released the second phase of funds for the Batdwara Thana Development Project and approved the construction of a 150-foot-high statue to mark the 400th birth anniversary of Lachit Barphukan.The Cabinet also approved Rs 383 crore for the construction of a bridge over Ghunasuti to connect Lakhimpur and Dhakuakhana directly (New bridge between Lakhimpur and Dhakuakhana).  This will reduce the distance between Lakhimpur-Dhemaji and Majuli.  The Cabinet  decided to connect Tamulpur and Barama in Baksa district with a bridge.  247 crore was sanctioned for this purpose.The Cabinet also approved the Revised Mission Chariali flyover in Tezpur.  The bridge will be longer than before.  500 crore will be spent on the project.  Similarly, the Cabinet approved Rs 4 crores for the development of Baan Theater (State cabinet approved four crores to Baan Theater)  15 crore for re-excavation of Mara Bharlu and Rs. 16 crore for development of Barpukhuri in Tezpur . The Cabinet decided to relocate the Tezpur jail to Chariduwar  .It has been decided to construct a Jyoti-Vishnu-Phani cultural project on the site of the existing jail.
