 International Desk:
Al Qaeda has entered the hijab debate this time.  In a video message, Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of the militant group, praised Muskan Khan, a college student from Karnataka who made headlines during the hijab debate.  The militant leader also called on Muslims in the subcontinent to unite.

After a long time, Zawahiri was seen through video again.  News spread that he had died in 2020.  In a nine-minute video released by al Qaeda on Tuesday, Zawahiri was heard speaking only on the Indian hijab debate.  In addition to praising Muskan, the militant leader also recited a poem about him.  He called for using the media wisely as well as taking up arms on the battlefield.
A group of Hindutva students entered a college in Karnataka after protesting against wearing hijab.  Muskan Khan, a student of that college, came face to face with them after wearing hijab.  He said that wearing hijab is his birthright.  Standing against the combined ‘Joy Sriram’ sound of the garrison forces, Muskan also raised the counter sound of ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ alone.  The whole of Karnataka is affected by this incident.  The Karnataka government banned the wearing of hijab in colleges.  The debate begins.  Hijab case filed in court.  The Karnataka High Court ruled in favor of the government.  The matter is now pending in the country's top court.  This time, the notorious militant group Al Qaeda entered the debate in an unwelcome manner.
Security experts say it would be "significant" for the head of one of the world's most notorious groups, such as Al Qaeda, to spend so much time on India's internal affairs.  Some of them say that this means that Al Qaeda is still thinking about India.  Which is enough thought.
The militant group last released a video about India in 2014.
