In a significant step to strengthen the safety of women and children in Punjab, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur officially launched ‘Project Hifazat’ on 7 March 2025. The initiative envisages a 24×7 integrated helpline, coordination of various government departments and ground response mechanism to provide immediate relief to women and children affected by violence.
