Cricket Australia named Wasim Akram, Ravi Shastri among the 54 representatives of its 'Multicultural Ambassador Programme'

Cricket Australia on Wednesday named former Pakistan and Indian stars Wasim Akram and Ravi Shastri among the 54 representatives of its 'Multicultural Ambassador Programme.'" A statement from the board said, "Cricket Australia is proud to launch its Multicultural Ambassador Programme."  has named 54 people with diverse backgrounds and experience in government, business, sport, media and the community as inaugural delegates."
 The list of ambassadors includes many past and present players, as well as industry and community leaders, who will advocate for diversity and support the goals outlined in the Multicultural Action Plan.  The inaugural ambassadors include Usman Khawaja, Mel Jones, Wasim Akram, Ravi Shastri, Lisa Stalekar, Kishwar Chaudhary, Alana King, Peter Varghese, Swati Dave and Fawad Ahmad.
