Boris Johnson Statement: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is visiting India, said on Friday that India is insisting on peace in Ukraine and wants Russia to get out of there. The British Prime Minister said this to the media after a detailed discussion with his counterpart Narendra Modi.
'India's position on Russia clear':
Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla said that on the issue of Ukraine, UK PM Boris Johnson said that historically India's position on Russia is well known and they are not going to change it. Johnson said Modi's reaction to what happened in Bucha, Ukraine, came out very strongly and that everyone respects India's decades-old historical ties with Russia.
India wants peace in Ukraine:
He said it was clear that Modi intervened several times and asked Russian President Putin what he thought he was doing on this earth and where it would go. He said, 'Indians want peace in Ukraine and want the Russians to get out of there and I completely agree with this.' Along with this, he said that everyone is aware of the relations between India and Russia and they Won't change it.
