 National Desk:
In Sri Lanka, which is facing a severe economic crisis, these days people have become fascinated for grain.  In such a situation, India, playing the role of a good neighbor and elder brother, is constantly helping him. India sent a consignment of 11,000 metric tons of rice on Tuesday before the start of Sri Lanka's National New Year.  This help was given to Sri Lanka under the concessional Indian Line of Credit of $ 1 billion.  While receiving the consignment of rice, the officers of Sri Lanka thanked the Government of India and the Indian people, who are supporting them even in this bad time.
An agreement was signed between the State Bank of India and the Government of Sri Lanka on 17 March 2022 to revive Sri Lanka with financial help.  In this agreement, a concessional loan facility of $ 1 billion was given from India.  With the help of which Sri Lanka has to get 40 thousand metric tons of food grains from India.  Out of this, 5 thousand metric tonnes of wheat has been sent to Sri Lanka recently.  Now the second consignment of 11 thousand metric tonnes of wheat has been sent.  The State Trading Corporation of Sri Lanka will now make arrangements to take this wheat to the people of our country.
