Amid the political crisis in South Korea, a proposal to impeach acting President Han-Dak Soo was brought forward and it was passed.
A total of 192 MPs voted in favour of impeachment, while only 151 MPs were needed to pass it. There was a lot of chaos in the parliament during the voting.
Han took charge after impeaching and removing former President Yoon Suk Yol on 14 December.
