Rural children of the state of Bihar will now have free access to libraries to be managed by Didis (Jeevika workers) of their neighbourhood.
Rich with textbooks, novels, biographies of great persons, science reference books, magazines for competitive examinations and other such reading stuff, these community library and career development centres, popularly known as Didi ki library, are being established by Jeevika under Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society with the help of education department and Turn The Bus, a non-profit organisation of the country.
Each library is being equipped with a desktop and projector for creating a ‘learn with fun’ environment.
