China finally announced the official removal of long-missing Defense Minister Li Shangfu.  AP has given this information in its report.  It is noteworthy that the US Ambassador to Japan was the first to make public the news of the disappearance of China's Defense Minister.

The country's top lawmakers, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, also voted to remove the defense minister from his post, Reuters reported, quoting state broadcaster CCTV.  During this time, the Standing Committee of the Congress appointed Yin Hejun as the Science-Technology Minister of China and Lan Fan as the Finance Minister.  Let us tell you that this is the second change in China's leadership in three months after the sudden replacement of Foreign Minister Qin Gang in July.
