Wrestler Bajrang Punia is being held at Mayur Vihar police station after being taken into custody by Delhi police. The wrestlers, who were on dharna at Jantar Mantar, started their march towards the new Parliament House at around 11:30 am today as they had organized a women's panchayat there. The Delhi Police ordered him to stop and informed him that today was the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House .
So no one is allowed to go there for security reasons, but all the wrestlers went ahead and broke the 3 layers of barricade. There was a clash between the police and the wrestlers and then the police took the wrestlers into custody. Meanwhile, Bajrang Poonia, Vinesh Fogat and Sakshi Malik have been detained in different police stations in different districts of Delhi. Currently, police have not specified how long they will be released. Police, meanwhile, have said that the wrestlers violated the law and were prosecuted.
