National Desk:
Air India has been heavily accused. The allegations against Air India have been made by their pilots. The allegations against Air India are about changes in the terms of service. In fact, Air India’s pilots’ body has accused the airline management of making ‘rapid’ and ‘regressive’ changes to their terms of service unilaterally.
The Indian Pilots Guild (IPG) and the Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) have written a letter to Air India's Chief Human Resources Officer Suresh Dutt Tripathi. The letter alleges this. The pilots’ body said, ‘‘All the unilateral breaches of our rights and service agreements are causing unrest in this industry and the confidence of the employees towards the existing management is falling.’’
In fact, Air India pilots have objected to the airline management’s decision to change the rule on being able to accrue 300 days of earned leave and limit it to 60 days. This will reduce paid leave and save money. IPG is the body of Air India's wide-sized aircraft pilots while ICPA is the body of small aircraft pilots.
