National Desk:
The Indian Air Force will conduct a two-day (December 15 and 16) exercise near the China border in the northeast from Thursday amid clashes between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh. Almost all its frontline fighter jets will also be involved in this exercise.
According to sources, the purpose of the exercise is to test its operations and capabilities in the eastern sector. However, the exercise was planned long before the Indian and Chinese armies came face to face, so this exercise has no relation to the recent skirmish.
This maneuver of the Air Force will be held at Tezpur, Chabua, Jorhat and Hashimara airbases. This maneuver will be done by the Eastern Command of the Air Force. The borders of China, Bangladesh and Myanmar adjacent to the Northeast are monitored by the Eastern Command.
