SL Thaosen appointed as new Chief of CRPF, Anish Singh to take charge of ITBP

The Government of India has appointed 1988 batch IPS officer SL Thaosen as the Director General of CRPF.  At the same time, Anish Dayal Singh has been given the responsibility of Director General of ITBP.  In fact, Thosein, a 1988 batch officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, is currently working as the DG of the Border Security Force Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).  He is holding the additional charge of Indo-Tibetan Border Police.  At the same time, 1988 batch officer (Manipur cadre) Anish Dayal Singh is currently working as Special Director in Intelligence Bureau.
Let us inform that on Friday, DG IPS officer of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Kuldeep Singh (1986-batch) retired.  After which this post became vacant.  CRPF has many responsibilities including Naxal and Jammu and Kashmir.  Thaosen is due to retire in November this year, while Anish Singh will retire in December 2024.
The appointment order of both the senior officers has been issued by the Personnel Ministry after approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by the Prime Minister.
