Revealed from CCTV camera - Cyrus Mistry's car ran 20 KM in 9 minutes, did not wear seat belt

Cyrus Mistry, the younger son of former Tata Sons chairman and construction tycoon Pallonji Mistry, died in a car accident on Sunday.  Cyrus Mistry's Mercedes car met with an accident when he was going from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.  During this, his car collided with the divider on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway.  There were a total of four people in the car.  Out of these, two people including Cyrus Mistry died on the spot and two people were injured.  In the initial investigation of this accident, the fault of the driver is coming to the fore.  According to the police, the car hit the divider due to over-speeding and miscalculation.
According to preliminary investigation, the Mercedes car in which four people, including Cyrus Mistry, were traveling, covered a distance of 20 km in just 9 minutes after crossing Charoti check post in Palghar district, 120 km from Mumbai.  Also, in the investigation, it was found that the two people who died in the accident were not wearing seat belts.  Cyrus Mistry and Jehangir Pandole were sitting in the back seat.  In this accident, both these people died on the spot.A police officer told news agency PTI that footage recorded by CCTV cameras at Charoti check post showed that the car had crossed the check post around 2:21 pm on Sunday.  After going 20 km ahead of this check post, the car collided with the divider.  In the initial investigation, the police came to know that this accident happened due to reasons like overspeed, overtake from the wrong side.
After the accident, Cyrus Mistry was taken to the government hospital in nearby Casa.  Shubham Singh, the doctor here, said that Cyrus Mistry died due to a head injury.  He was put in the hospital in a dead state.  At the same time, Jahangir had a fracture in the left leg and a head injury.  He died on his way to the hospital.
