India's hopes at the Paris Olympics 2024 have been hit hard. Vinesh Fogat has been declared disqualified from the Paris Olympics. She reached the final of 50 kg wrestling. Her weight is slightly overweight in the 50 kg category on the second day of the event. Vinesh had a chance to win the gold medal, but now she missed out on the silver medal.
29-year-old Vinesh has been disqualified from 50kg wrestling. When she gained a little weight, she tried to lose it. Since there was supposed to be a gold medal event today (August 7), it turned out to be too much.
An Indian coach said, “She was found to be 100 grams overweight in the morning. The rules don’t allow it and she have been disqualified.’
