Lt Gen Sadhna Saxena Nair has become the first woman to be appointed as the Director General Medical Services

Lt Gen Sadhana Saxena Nair will take over as Director General of Medical Services (Army) tomorrow.  She will be the first woman to be appointed to the prestigious post.  Earlier, he was promoted to the rank of Air Marshal and posted as Director General of Hospital Services (Armed Forces).  She was also the first woman to hold the post.
