Para swimmer Jiya Rai makes another record by crossing the English Channel

Zia Rai, a 16-year-old from Mumbai who suffers from ‘autism spectrum disorder’ has become the world’s youngest and fastest para-swimmer to cross the English Channel.  She achieved this feat on July 28-29.  Zia swam across the English Channel from Abbots Cliffs in England to Pointe de la Courte-Dune in France between July 28 and 29 in 17 hours and 25 minutes.  She covered a distance of 34 kilometers.
