4 Indian students won medals at the 35th International Biology Olympiad in Astana, Kazakhstan, held from July 7 to July 13. Competing against participants from 80 other countries, the students secured one gold medal and three silver medals. Vedant Sakre from Mumbai earned the gold medal, while Ishan Pednekar from Ratnagiri, Shrijith Sivakumar from Chennai, and Yashashwi Kumar from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, each won a silver medal.
