Masoud pezeshkian is the new President of Iran

Masoud Pezeshkian, President Iran is the President-elect of Iran.  Fellow Iranian heart surgeon and reformist leader.  He is the oldest person to hold the office of president in Iran's history. 

 Previously, Pejeshkian represented Tabriz, Osku and Azarshahr constituencies in Iran's parliament and served as its first vice-speaker from 2016 to 2020.  He was Minister of Health and Medical Education in the government of Mohammad Khatami from 2001 to 2005.
