Senior IAS officer Sujata Saunik made history by becoming the first woman Chief Secretary of Maharashtra

Senior IAS officer Sujata Saunik took over as Maharashtra Chief Secretary on Sunday.  She also made history by becoming the first woman Chief Secretary of Maharashtra.  Sujata Saunik replaces retired IAS officer Nitin Keer.  Sujata will hold the post till June 2025.  In fact, she will retire next year.  Saunik was earlier Additional Secretary in the State Home Department.
