US chipmaker Nvidia Corp. has become the world's second most valuable company, beating Apple.  Nvidia's market capitalization has exceeded $300 million (about $2.5 billion).  Nvidia Corp. has become the world's first computer-chip company to reach this height.  Nvidia still surpasses Microsoft Corp. by market value.  is lagging behind, but the surge in shares makes Wall Street think Nvidia will soon surpass it as well.
