Haryana to launch INR 10,000 cr project to combat air pollution

Haryana Chief Secretary T V S N Prasad announced that the state government will soon launch a INR 10,000 crore project, funded by the World Bank, to tackle air pollution. Named the Haryana Clean Air Project for Sustainable Development, it will initially commence in the National Capital Region (NCR) districts before expanding statewide.
The announcement was made during a meeting of the governing committee for the project, which Prasad chaired on Monday, according to an official statement.
Prasad described the project as a comprehensive, ten-year initiative funded by the World Bank.
