South African and USA teams in the T20 World Cup will be sponsored by Amul

Indian dairy giant Amul will sponsor the USA and South Africa during the T20 World Cup in June, the respective teams’ cricket boards announced on Thursday.  The United States will make its debut as co-host of the tournament beginning June 1.

 Part of the schedule, including the semifinals and finals, will take place in the Caribbean.  Amul has been named the lead arm sponsor of both the USA and South African teams.  The first match of the World Cup will be played on June 1 between the United States and Canada.  The Indian dairy giant with a global footprint has in the past sponsored cricket teams including Netherlands, South Africa and Afghanistan.  Amul milk is now being sold in the US as well.  The United States recently defeated Canada 4-0 in a bilateral series.
