OpenAI makes first appointment in India, Pragya Mishra gets important responsibility

OpenAI, the company that makes ChatGPT, has hired its first employee in India.  The company has appointed Pragya Misra, currently Director of Public Affairs at Truecaller, as its first employee.  It could take over from the end of this month.  According to the report, Pragya Mishra will assume the responsibilities of Public Policy Affairs Head in India for OpenAI.
OpenAI has made this decision at a time when deepfakes and artificial technology are seeing numerous misuses.  On the other hand, AI technology is also being used during elections.  Pragya Mishra's leadership will play an essential role in this.  Pragya Mishra has held important positions in Truecaller and Meta.
