Balraj Panwar has made history by securing India's first quota of sailing at the Paris Olympics. He finished third in the men's single scull event of the 2024 World Asian and Oceanian Olympic and Paralympic Qualification Regatta in Chungju, South Korea on Sunday.
The 25-year-old Indian Army player, who missed out on a bronze medal at the Asian Games last year, showed extraordinary skills to secure a quota at the Paris Olympics this time around. He clocked 7:01.27 minutes in the 2000m race and secured a quota for the Indian team.
