27-year-old Rumi Alqahtani has become the first woman from Saudi Arabia to participate in this international competition.
Through an Insta post, Rumi said, "It is an honor for me to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 competition."
The Riyadh-born model and content creator wrote that she will be the first participant from Saudi Arabia in the Miss Universe 2024 competition.
Alqahtani is playing a vital role in empowering Saudi women. According to a report by Gulf Today, she has previously represented Saudi Arabia in several international pageants including Miss Asia in Malaysia, Miss Arab Peace, and Miss Europe.
